Some wag wrote a letter to the Geelong Advertiser saying he “choked on his breakfast” reading my latest column. If I’m causing near-death experiences to my readership I think I’m doing well.
I recently went on a surf camp to North Stradbroke Island after a writer pitched me a story idea about the retreat. I thought it sounded wonderful and it was. Raine Busch is the owner of the business and is an inspiring, impressive woman. She keeps the prices low to make it accessible to women (only) everywhere. It cost me around $500 for four night, seven surf lessons, four yoga lessons and six meals. Plus I spent several days with some beautiful women. Could not recommend http://chixsurfin.com/ highly enough.
